Students Lead the Way Once Again With ReadOn

By | March 27, 2019

Year 8, 9 and 10 students participated in the school’s annual ReadOn, organised by Mrs Theresa Fleming, the school Librarian in association with the English Department. The project supports the work of NI Cancer Fund for Children at their Daisy Lodge Centre in Newcastle. The students’ valiant efforts raised a commendable total of £2721.06 and once again SHS was the leading school with this initiative.  Top fundraisers will receive a gift at the next general school assembly and will be invited to spend a day at Daisy Lodge to see how their sponsor money is used to help young cancer patients and their families.
