Charity
Sacred Heart has a proud tradition of raising money for local charities and the students from this school year have continued that
tradition. Fund raising activities to date have included bun sales, raffles, coffee mornings, football tournaments, crazy hair
days and sponsored fasts. Each of these events affords every student the opportunity to participate and play her part for deserving
causes such as St Vincent de Paul, Concern, Southern Area Hospice, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Trocaire, Childline, The Simon Community,
Barnardos and others.

Last year the School was nominated for a Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action / Camelot Award by the Southern Area Hospice
Services in recognition of its outstanding fund raising work for charities.
"A school raffle for two tickets to the 2002 All Ireland Final raised £4000 for the work of the Sisters of St. Clare in El Salvador"
