By | October 24, 2018

Sacred Heart Grammar School staged their production of ‘Guys and Dolls’ in the school Assembly Hall on Thursday 18th, Friday 19th, Sunday 21st, Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd October.

This musical fable of Broadway, with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser, is an all-time Broadway Classic. Originally drawn from the pages of Damon Runyon, ‘Guys and Dolls’ is a joyous anthem to the street life of New York after the war, with well- known musical numbers such as ‘Luck Be A Lady’ and ‘Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ The Boat’.

Under the exquisite direction of Ms Treasa Davey, the excellent musical direction of Mrs Linda Turley, the meticulous, imaginative choreography of Mrs Leo Reynolds, and with magnificent costumes by Mary Glaze of Elizabeth Stagewear, the 87 strong cast brought the story to life.

It was a production worthy of any professional stage.
